When I begin researching the dangers of EMF’s in relationship to our autistic son, I found this amazing, fully-referenced 100-page PDF article to show to my husband. If you are not clear on how EMF’s can have a potentially hazardous impact on your autistic child, I encourage you to read this article in its […]

Should I Get A Dog For My Autistic Child?

Published: June 13, 2015

One of the things that I have been thinking about for the past year or so is whether I should get a dog for our family, especially for my son who is on the Autism Spectrum.  One day in the Speech Therapy waiting room, another Mom was bragging about how their family’s new German Shepherd […]

Published: December 12, 2013

Do you believe in the power of Intention. Do you believe your thoughts can help heal autism? It’s true, […]

Published: October 25, 2013

Just wanted to give a brief update on Blake’s progress. He turned five this fall, but we decided to give him one more year of preschool, rather than starting Kindergarten. Dan Doctor In Seattle

When I was first suspicious that my son had autism, I wanted to find a so-called “DAN Doctor” in Seattle right away. “Dan Doctor” is actually a bit of a misnomer, the acronym “DAN” stands for “Defeat Autism Now” but the group has subsequently had to change their name to the Autism Research Institute because […]

When your child is diagnosed with autism, if you pursue biomedical intervention, you will begin down a path of taking all sorts of supplements, many of them expensive. We were not taking any of these before we started seeing doctors, although some of them are common, good-for-ya things that your autistic and non-autistic child alike […]

Electromagnetic Radiation (EMF) and Autism – A Hidden Connection?

Published: March 24, 2013

I first became aware of the dangers of EMF when I was researching autism issues. I’d heard things about EMF’s disturbing autistic children’s sleep on my GAPS yahoo group, and some people having good results with moving kids beds away from electrical outlets, or off the wall that had the refrigerator or TV on the other side of It (e.g if the bedroom was adjacent to the kitchen). I thought it was all “interesting” but we didn’t have that type of set up (all bedrooms upstairs in our house) and B. didn’t really have sleep issues, so I didn’t think much of it… at first. Then I read an article that changed all that.
